Lapis Lazuli Open Frame Earrings in Sterling Silver

These earrings feature richly colored lapis lazuli stones suspended within one of my newer open-frame designs, a style I’ve been especially excited about lately. The elongated teardrop shape gives them a bold but airy feel, while tiny clusters of sterling silver granules add texture and detail throughout the design. The backs are finished cleanly with a softly textured surface, giving the earrings a thoughtful, finished feel from every angle.

The lapis in this pair is especially beautiful, saturated in that unmistakable deep ultramarine blue with shimmering flecks of natural pyrite scattered throughout the stones like tiny stars. Those golden metallic flashes catch the light in the prettiest way against the intense blue, giving the earrings a richness that feels both ancient and luxurious. Lapis has such a timeless presence to it, and these stones really showcase why it has been treasured for thousands of years.

Lapis lazuli has long been associated with wisdom, truth, and intuition. Historically it was prized by ancient civilizations for both adornment and spiritual symbolism, often connected to royalty, protection, and inner vision.
