Aqua Chalcedony Hand-Knotted Necklace in Sterling Silver

There’s an undeniably sensuous allure to a hand-knotted strand of gemstones. Each bead moves with a liquid grace, the silk thread giving the necklace a supple drape against the skin. In the hand, they’re a joy to roll between your fingers, smooth and rhythmic with just the right weight. It’s a tactile pleasure, flexible and deeply satisfying. I adore layering these strands, playing with different stones, colors, and lengths, but they’re just as beautiful worn alone. Each one is knotted on silk thread chosen to complement the stones.

This aqua chalcedony has the most gorgeous blue-green color, somewhere between clear tropical water and sea glass. The stones have that softly translucent, almost glowing quality chalcedony does so well, with a beautiful depth of color that gives the strand plenty of presence. Faceting across the rondelles catches the light as they move, adding sparkle without taking away from that dreamy, watery color. At approximately 7mm, these are substantial enough to really show off the stone.

Aqua chalcedony is associated with calm communication, emotional balance, and inner peace. It is believed to encourage clarity, ease tension, and bring a greater sense of harmony.
