Charoite Hand-Knotted Necklace in Sterling Silver
There’s an undeniably sensuous allure to a hand-knotted strand of gemstones. Each bead moves with a liquid grace, the silk thread giving the necklace a supple drape that molds effortlessly against the skin. In the hand, they’re a joy to roll between your fingers, smooth and rhythmic with just the right weight. It’s a tactile pleasure—flexible, grounding, and deeply satisfying. I adore layering these strands; they bring a lush, polished finish to any outfit, whether paired with other necklaces or worn alone as a statement piece. Each one is hand-knotted on silk thread chosen to complement the stones, a detail that makes the piece as refined as it feels.
Charoite is one of those gemstones that never quite blends into the background. Swirls of rich violet, lavender, plum, and glossy black flow through every bead, giving each one its own personality. Some lean dark and dramatic, while others reveal softer ribbons of purple that catch the light as the necklace moves. There's something undeniably bold about this strand. It has a confident presence that feels both artistic and a little mysterious, making it just as at home with a simple black sweater as it is dressed up for an evening out.
Charoite is found almost exclusively in Siberia, making it one of the rarer ornamental gemstones in the world. It is often associated with transformation, courage, intuition, and embracing change with confidence.
