Chocolate Moonstone Hand-Knotted Strand Necklace in Sterling Silver

There’s an undeniably sensuous allure to a hand-knotted strand of gemstones. Each bead moves with a liquid grace, the silk thread giving the necklace a supple drape against the skin. In the hand, they’re a joy to roll between your fingers, smooth and rhythmic with just the right weight. It’s a tactile pleasure, flexible and deeply satisfying. I adore layering these strands, playing with different stones, colors, and lengths, but they’re just as beautiful worn alone. Each one is knotted on silk thread chosen to complement the stones.

This chocolate moonstone has such a beautiful range of earthy, muted color. The faceted rondelles shift from warm cocoa and taupe to smoky grey, soft mauve, and occasional silvery tones, with the subtle glow that gives moonstone its appeal. The larger beads have plenty of presence, but the neutral palette keeps the strand understated and easy to wear. There’s a softness and richness to the color that works beautifully with both warm and cool tones.

Moonstone has long been associated with intuition, balance, and new beginnings. It is believed to encourage calm and emotional balance while strengthening intuition and a sense of inner awareness.
