A Striking Balance of Light and Shadow
This pendant features a truly captivating specimen of black tourmalinated quartz. Fine black tourmaline needles weave their way through exceptionally clear quartz with just a hint of smoky warmth. That subtle golden undertone inspired me to add two 18k gold prongs to accent the stone, a quiet but deliberate detail that elevates the entire piece.
Above the stone, I fabricated a series of layered sterling elements to echo the natural rutile inclusions, each one hand-textured and arranged with intention. The pendant is full of unique character and contrast, a play of geometry and organic structure, sparkle and shadow.
Metaphysical Properties:
Tourmalinated quartz is known as a stone of protection and grounding. It’s said to help shield against negative energy while also balancing polarities, bringing clarity to confusion and transforming inner conflict into harmony. The black tourmaline within is believed to deflect negativity, while the quartz amplifies energy, making this a powerful talisman for strength and alignment.
