Garnet & Freshwater Keshi Pearl Hand-Knotted Necklace in Sterling Silver

There’s an undeniably sensuous allure to a hand-knotted strand of gemstones. Each bead moves with a liquid grace, the silk thread giving the necklace a supple drape against the skin. In the hand, they’re a joy to roll between your fingers, smooth and rhythmic with just the right weight. It’s a tactile pleasure, flexible and deeply satisfying. I adore layering these strands, playing with different stones, colors, and lengths, but they’re just as beautiful worn alone. Each one is knotted on silk thread chosen to complement the stones.

This strand combines richly colored freshwater keshi pearls with a deep red garnet drop. The pearls are an incredible mix of burgundy, plum, wine, and flashes of brighter cherry red, with irregular shapes and rippled surfaces that make the color and luster shift as they move. A decorative sterling silver spring-ring clasp can be worn at the back for a simple strand, or brought around to the front with the faceted garnet pendant hanging from it. The garnet picks up the darker reds in the pearls beautifully and gives the necklace a completely different look when worn this way.

Garnet is traditionally associated with vitality, courage, and passion, while pearls have long been associated with wisdom, balance, and intuition. Together they are believed to encourage confidence, emotional strength, and a sense of grounding.
