Guatemalan Green Jade Hand-Knotted Strand Necklace in Sterling Silver

There’s an undeniably sensuous allure to a hand-knotted strand of gemstones. Each bead moves with a liquid grace, the silk thread giving the necklace a supple drape against the skin. In the hand, they’re a joy to roll between your fingers, smooth and rhythmic with just the right weight. It’s a tactile pleasure, flexible and deeply satisfying. I adore layering these strands, playing with different stones, colors, and lengths, but they’re just as beautiful worn alone. Each one is knotted on silk thread chosen to complement the stones.

I love the range of green in this strand. The Guatemalan jade moves from soft, slightly translucent greens into deep forest shades, with plenty of variation from one stone to the next. The smooth roundels have a beautiful glossy polish that really lets the color show, and the darker stones scattered throughout give the strand some great depth. It's a gorgeous example of green jade and one of those strands that is even better when you see all of those greens together.

Jade has long been associated with harmony, protection, and emotional balance. It is traditionally considered a stone of well-being, believed to encourage a sense of calm, stability, and inner strength.
