Hot Pink Freshwater Pearl Hand-Knotted Necklace in Sterling Silver
There’s an undeniably sensuous allure to a hand-knotted strand of gemstones. Each bead moves with a liquid grace, the silk thread giving the necklace a supple drape against the skin. In the hand, they’re a joy to roll between your fingers, smooth and rhythmic with just the right weight. It’s a tactile pleasure, flexible and deeply satisfying. I adore layering these strands, playing with different stones, colors, and lengths, but they’re just as beautiful worn alone. Each one is knotted on silk thread chosen to complement the stones.
These pearls are about as far from a traditional white pearl strand as you can get, and that's exactly what I love about them. The hot pink is intense and saturated, with a beautiful almost metallic luster that really shows off the surface of the pearls. They're bright, fun and a little unexpected, while still having everything that makes pearls so beautiful in the first place. The slightly irregular oval shapes are a reminder that these came from nature, and I think that makes all that glorious pink even better.
Pearls have traditionally been associated with wisdom, intuition, protection and emotional balance. They're often thought to have a calming, centering energy and have been treasured across cultures for centuries.
