Mahogany Obsidian & Hessonite Garnet Pendant in Sterling Silver

This pendant features a striking mahogany obsidian, rich with inky black and reddish-brown swirls. When held to the light, you’ll see subtle translucent streaks that reveal intricate internal layers, like fiery currents frozen in time. I designed the setting to feel both ancient and modern, echoing the mysterious mood of the stone itself. Set in a dramatic, geometric silhouette with a glowing hessonite garnet below, the piece is bold yet elegant, reminiscent of a chandelier, a pendulum, or an artifact of forgotten ritual.

Obsidian is a natural volcanic glass formed by rapidly cooling lava. Mahogany obsidian is believed to be a grounding and protective stone, offering strength during times of transformation. Hessonite garnet, with its warm red-orange glow, is said to enhance creativity, confidence, and emotional clarity. Together, these stones create a talisman of balance, courage, and inner fire.
