Malachite Earrings in Sterling Silver

I have been completely drawn into malachite lately. It’s one of those stones I’ve always admired, but recently I can’t seem to get enough of it. The endless bands and ripples of green feel almost hypnotic, like tiny rivers, growth rings, or waves frozen in stone. This pair has especially beautiful patterning, with vivid emerald tones shifting through deep forest green in soft layered currents that make the stones feel alive.

These earrings are made in one of my newer open-frame designs, which gives them a bold shape while still keeping them visually light and easy to wear. The negative space around the stones helps emphasize those incredible natural patterns, while tiny silver granule accents add texture and balance throughout the design. They have beautiful movement on the ear and make a statement without feeling heavy. On the reverse, the backplates have been hand textured with an organic ripple pattern that echoes the flowing bands within the malachite itself, one of those little details that makes the piece feel finished from every angle.

Malachite has long been associated with transformation, protection, and emotional clarity. Many people are drawn to it as a stone of growth and change, making it as meaningful as it is visually striking.
