Opalized Chrysocolla & Prasiolite Earrings in Sterling Silver

The color in these opalized chrysocolla stones is gorgeous, a rich blue-green that shifts between turquoise, teal and deeper green across the surface. The broad shield shape gives them plenty of room to show off that color, and I love the way they anchor all of the movement below.

I paired them with faceted high grade prasiolite drops in a much softer, watery green. Each one hangs independently from fine silver chain, so the earrings have lots of swing and catch the light beautifully when worn. The contrast between the saturated chrysocolla and the pale transparent prasiolite is what makes this pair work so well.

Opalized chrysocolla is traditionally associated with communication, emotional balance and calm. Prasiolite, sometimes called green amethyst, is associated with clarity, compassion and personal growth.
