Peach Moonstone Hand-Knotted Strand Necklace in Sterling Silver
There’s an undeniably sensuous allure to a hand-knotted strand of gemstones. Each bead moves with a liquid grace, the silk thread giving the necklace a supple drape against the skin. In the hand, they’re a joy to roll between your fingers, smooth and rhythmic with just the right weight. It’s a tactile pleasure, flexible and deeply satisfying. I adore layering these strands, playing with different stones, colors, and lengths, but they’re just as beautiful worn alone. Each one is knotted on silk thread chosen to complement the stones.
These peach moonstones are gorgeous. The color is a warm, creamy blush with subtle variations from pale peach to soft rose, but it’s the sheen that really makes them. Light seems to move across the surface of the stones, and the facets catch it again, giving the whole strand this luminous glow that is much prettier in person than a photograph can quite capture. There’s something very sensual about the combination of that warm peach color and silvery light.
Moonstone has been wrapped up in lunar mythology for centuries, associated with intuition, love, feminine energy and new beginnings. It was once believed to be made from solidified moonlight, which feels particularly fitting when you see that characteristic glow moving across these stones.
