Peacock Freshwater Pearl Hand-Knotted Strand Necklace in Sterling Silver
There’s an undeniably sensuous allure to a hand-knotted strand of gemstones. Each bead moves with a liquid grace, the silk thread giving the necklace a supple drape against the skin. In the hand, they’re a joy to roll between your fingers, smooth and rhythmic with just the right weight. It’s a tactile pleasure, flexible and deeply satisfying. I adore layering these strands, playing with different stones, colors, and lengths, but they’re just as beautiful worn alone. Each one is knotted on silk thread chosen to complement the stones.
These freshwater pearls have a wonderfully dark, shifting color that changes as the light moves across them. Deep charcoal and smoky grey give way to flashes of violet, blue, green, and bronze, with every pearl showing a slightly different mix. Their irregular nugget shapes and softly rippled surfaces give the strand an organic quality, while the beautiful luster keeps it feeling polished. The result is a darker, moodier take on pearls that feels especially easy to wear with silver and other gemstone strands.
Pearls have long been associated with wisdom, balance, and intuition. They are believed to bring a calming, centering energy and encourage emotional clarity.
