Peacock Grey Freshwater Pearl Hand-Knotted Strand Necklace in Sterling Silver

There’s an undeniably sensuous allure to a hand-knotted strand of gemstones. Each bead moves with a liquid grace, the silk thread giving the necklace a supple drape against the skin. I adore layering these strands, playing with different stones, colors, and lengths, but they’re just as beautiful worn alone. Each one is knotted on silk thread chosen to complement the stones.

These freshwater pearls have a beautiful dark, moody color that shifts constantly in the light. Their peacock grey base moves through charcoal, smoky purple, green, blue, and flashes of bronze, with each pearl showing its own slightly different mix. The softly irregular shapes keep the strand from feeling too formal, while the high luster gives it that unmistakable pearl glow. It's an easy way to wear pearls if traditional white strands aren't really your thing, and the darker color works especially well layered with silver and other gemstones.
