Pink Tourmaline Hand-Knotted Strand Necklace in Sterling Silver

There’s an undeniably sensuous allure to a hand-knotted strand of gemstones. Each bead moves with a liquid grace, the silk thread giving the necklace a supple drape against the skin. In the hand, they’re a joy to roll between your fingers, smooth and rhythmic with just the right weight. It’s a tactile pleasure, flexible and deeply satisfying. I adore layering these strands, playing with different stones, colors, and lengths, but they’re just as beautiful worn alone. Each one is knotted on silk thread chosen to complement the stones.

This strand is all about that incredible raspberry pink. The faceted tourmaline has rich, saturated color with plenty of natural variation and texture from bead to bead. Rather than being clear and glassy, these stones are opaque, which gives the color a denser, almost velvety quality, while the faceted surfaces catch enough light to keep the strand lively. It’s bold without feeling sugary sweet, and an easy way to bring a strong shot of color into a stack of necklaces.

Pink tourmaline is traditionally associated with love, compassion, and emotional balance. It is believed to encourage an open heart while bringing together a sense of strength and softness.
