Blush Rose Quartz Hand-Knotted Strand Necklace in Sterling Silver

There’s an undeniably sensuous allure to a hand-knotted strand of gemstones. Each bead moves with a liquid grace, the silk thread giving the necklace a supple drape against the skin. In the hand, they’re a joy to roll between your fingers, smooth and rhythmic with just the right weight. It’s a tactile pleasure, flexible and deeply satisfying. I adore layering these strands, playing with different stones, colors, and lengths, but they’re just as beautiful worn alone. Each one is knotted on silk thread chosen to complement the stones.

These rose quartz beads have the prettiest soft blush color and a wonderful translucent quality that reminds me a little of pale pink sea glass. Rather than the highly polished, glassy look you often see in rose quartz, these smooth rondelles have a softer glow, with subtle cloudy inclusions suspended inside the stones and light passing through their edges. The plump, slightly irregular shapes give the strand some substance and character, while the pale pink remains beautifully understated. It’s a really lovely example of rose quartz, and much more interesting in person than the name “rose quartz” might suggest.

Rose quartz has long been associated with compassion, self-acceptance, and matters of the heart. Its soft pink color has made it one of the most recognizable gemstones, traditionally connected with love in all its forms.
