Smoky Quartz Hand-Knotted Strand Necklace in Sterling Silver

There’s an undeniably sensuous allure to a hand-knotted strand of gemstones. Each bead moves with a liquid grace, the silk thread giving the necklace a supple drape against the skin. I adore layering these strands, playing with different stones, colors, and lengths, but they’re just as beautiful worn alone. Each one is knotted on silk thread chosen to complement the stones.

This strand features beautifully clear smoky quartz in a rich, translucent brown that shifts from warm taupe to deeper smoke as the light moves through the stones. The faceted rounds give it plenty of sparkle, which plays especially well against the moody, neutral color. Smoky quartz is easy to wear with almost anything, but there’s nothing plain about it. The combination of transparency, depth, and light gives this strand a wonderfully sleek, sophisticated look.
