Tanzanite Hand-Knotted Necklace in Sterling Silver

There’s an undeniably sensuous allure to a hand-knotted strand of gemstones. Each bead moves with a liquid grace, the silk thread giving the necklace a supple drape against the skin. In the hand, they’re a joy to roll between your fingers, smooth and rhythmic with just the right weight. It’s a tactile pleasure, flexible and deeply satisfying. I adore layering these strands, playing with different stones, colors, and lengths, but they’re just as beautiful worn alone. Each one is knotted on silk thread chosen to complement the stones.

I'm so excited to finally add Tanzanite to my hand-knotted necklace collection. It's a gemstone I've wanted to work with for quite some time, and I'm really happy to have found a strand that felt worthy of it. The color sits somewhere between blue and violet, shifting gently as the light catches each faceted bead. At times it leans more lavender, at others a richer sapphire blue, and those subtle changes are part of what makes Tanzanite so captivating. It's refined, elegant, and one of those gemstones that's even better in person than it is in photographs.

Tanzanite has long been associated with transformation, intuition, and higher awareness. Traditionally believed to encourage insight and spiritual growth, it has been treasured as a gemstone that inspires creativity, compassion, and a deeper connection to oneself.
