This necklace is part of a new body of work using reticulation and granulation techniques along with painting and fusing with gold. Using these techniques, in combination with my usual style of work, I feel that I have created some very unique artwork that will hopefully become a cherished piece of art jewelry for your collection. The amount of time and processes that have gone into this piece is considerable but the resulting artwork is one I am very excited to share with the world.

The shape of this piece reminds me of an amphora jar. It brings to mind ancient times and magical spells. The main body is like a topographical map, with rivers of 24k gold and granules running along the valleys. I have created a swivel so that you can spin this piece from the side with gold to the other side that is only silver and black patina. The ability to flip this from one side to the other is like its own sleight of hand trick. Please look at the video to see it in action. The top piece has its own secrets with the stone and the collection of bubbles beneath it. The stone is a natural surface black tourmaline that echos the texture in the piece below it. Pendant measures 2 3/4 inches long by 1 1/4 inches wide. Very much one of a kind, signed.
