This watermelon tourmaline slice has an especially beautiful combination of color and texture. A deep raspberry center is surrounded by a mossy green ring before opening into translucent pink along the outer edge. What really makes this one come alive is the way the natural inclusions catch the light, scattering tiny flashes and sparkle throughout the pink and green layers. The irregular center and organic color zoning make it unmistakably a slice through a natural tourmaline crystal, with something different revealing itself as the light changes. The back is finished with an ornate floral-inspired texture, adding another layer of detail to the piece.
Watermelon tourmaline is often associated with emotional balance, joy, and matters of the heart, bringing together the qualities traditionally attributed to both pink and green tourmaline.
