Grape Amethyst Hand-Knotted Necklace in Sterling Silver

There’s an undeniably sensuous allure to a hand-knotted strand of gemstones. Each bead moves with a liquid grace, the silk thread giving the necklace a supple drape against the skin. In the hand, they’re a joy to roll between your fingers, smooth and rhythmic with just the right weight. It’s a tactile pleasure, flexible and deeply satisfying. I adore layering these strands, playing with different stones, colors, and lengths, but they’re just as beautiful worn alone. Each one is knotted on silk thread chosen to complement the stones.

These grape amethyst beads are absolutely gorgeous. The color is deep, saturated purple with the juicy, glowing quality that makes really good amethyst so hard to resist. The stones are beautifully clear and polished to a high shine, so light travels straight through them and brings that rich purple color to life. Their smooth, plump rondelle shape only adds to the effect. Graduated from approximately 6.5mm to 9.5mm, they have enough size to show off the exceptional color and clarity without becoming overly heavy. This is amethyst at its best: lush, luminous, and unapologetically purple.

Amethyst has long been associated with peace, clarity, and protection. It is believed to calm an overactive mind, strengthen intuition, and encourage a greater sense of balance and inner steadiness.
