Amethyst Hand-Knotted Necklace in Sterling Silver

There’s something special about a hand-knotted strand that you just don’t get from beads strung on wire. The silk allows each stone to move freely, giving the necklace a soft, fluid drape and a wonderful feel in the hand. I love wearing these strands layered together, mixing colors, shapes, and lengths, but they have enough presence to wear beautifully on their own. Each necklace is individually knotted on silk chosen to complement the stones.

The quality of the amethyst in this strand is exceptional. The stones are beautifully clear and transparent with a rich, true purple color that stays bright rather than becoming dark or muddy. Each rondelle is covered in tiny facets, so light travels straight through the stones and breaks into flashes of lavender, violet, and deeper purple as the necklace moves. The beads graduate all the way up to 10mm at the center, giving you a substantial amount of gorgeous amethyst and really showing off the clarity, color, and cutting.
