Azurite Malachite Hand-Knotted Necklace in Sterling Silver
There’s an undeniably sensuous allure to a hand-knotted strand of gemstones. Each bead moves with a liquid grace, the silk thread giving the necklace a supple drape against the skin. In the hand, they’re a joy to roll between your fingers, smooth and rhythmic with just the right weight. It’s a tactile pleasure, flexible and deeply satisfying. I adore layering these strands, playing with different stones, colors, and lengths, but they’re just as beautiful worn alone. Each one is knotted on silk thread chosen to complement the stones.
This strand of azurite malachite has an incredible mix of turquoise green, vivid cobalt blue, creamy ivory, and earthy brown, with dark veining running through many of the stones. Every bead is a little different. Some lean mostly green, others have strong flashes of blue, and some are covered in intricate lines and patches of color. The smooth graduated rondelles really show off all that variation and make this a strand you can keep looking at and finding something new in.
Azurite is traditionally associated with intuition, insight, and new perspectives, while malachite has long been considered a stone of transformation and protection. Together they are believed to encourage growth, awareness, and grounded confidence.
