Citrine Hand-Knotted Strand Necklace in Sterling Silver

There’s an undeniably sensuous allure to a hand-knotted strand of gemstones. Each bead moves with a liquid grace, the silk thread giving the necklace a supple drape against the skin. In the hand, they’re a joy to roll between your fingers, smooth and rhythmic with just the right weight. It’s a tactile pleasure, flexible and deeply satisfying. I adore layering these strands, playing with different stones, colors, and lengths, but they’re just as beautiful worn alone. Each one is knotted on silk thread chosen to complement the stones.

This is a gorgeous strand of citrine, with beautifully clear stones ranging from pale golden yellow to richer honey tones. The larger graduated rondelles have plenty of presence, and all of those facets give them incredible sparkle as they move in the light. Citrine beads of this size and quality have also become surprisingly difficult to find over the past several years. I’ve started seeing a little more good material again recently, but strands with this combination of generous size, clarity, and beautiful color are still not something I come across often.

Citrine is often associated with abundance, optimism, and creative energy. It is believed to encourage confidence and clarity while bringing a bright, positive energy to its wearer.
