Polychrome jasper has quickly risen on my favorite stone list, admittedly I have many favorite stones but this one has recently become a real stand out. It is only found on the northern coast of Madagascar and ones with blue are the most rare. This one has whats called a brecciated pattern. What is really cool about this is a long, long, long time ago this rock was subjected to weathering of some kind resulting in clasts, that's a fancy geology word for breaks or fractures in stone. These didn't move far apart but just far enough that there were some gaps. Then over the course of a long, long, long time the clasts healed and the gaps filled in with quartz. So now we have this beautifully colored stone with the equally amazing crackled sort of pattern within it. It's one of my special stones from my stash that I finally decided to work with. I have set this beauty in a clean and simple pendant in my favorite double bezel setting and hinged bail. Flip it over and you will see I have textured the back with a fun pattern as well. Pendant measures 2 1/2 inches long top to bottom and 1 inch wide.

 ♦Chain: You can choose to purchase just the pendant and wear with one of your chains or you can add the diamond like chain you see in the photos. This will come with a lobster claw clasp and 2 inch extension chain. So if you order 16 inches it will be 16-18, 18 would be 18-20 and so on.
