Powderfall Chrysocolla & Tenorite Earrings in Sterling Silver

The pattern in these chrysocolla stones is what got me. The intense turquoise has this wonderful powdery quality, almost like finely ground pigment dropped into water and caught in the moment as it begins to disperse. Dark tenorite breaks through here and there, giving all that saturated blue a little contrast and making the pattern even more unusual.

These have a long, tapered shape, but at two inches overall they aren't an enormous earring. I kept the setting simple because there really wasn't anything I wanted to compete with that color. They're an easy way to wear a seriously good turquoise blue, especially if you tend toward black, denim and neutrals and want something that immediately wakes everything up.

Chrysocolla is traditionally associated with communication, calm and self-expression, while tenorite is often connected with grounding and stability.
