Fossilized Palm Wood Earrings in Sterling Silver

I love the almost-black look of these fossilized palm wood stones. From a distance they read as a great dark neutral, but up close you start to see the wispy white patterning running through them, remnants of the palm’s original structure preserved as the wood fossilized. It gives them a lot more going on than a simple pair of black earrings.

At 1½ inches long, these are an easy, everyday size with enough substance to still feel interesting. The deep neutral color works with just about anything, while the unusual fossil pattern keeps them from feeling basic.

Fossilized palm wood is traditionally associated with grounding, stability and strength. It’s thought to encourage patience and a steady sense of direction, drawing on its connection to something ancient and enduring.
