Garden Quartz Statement Necklace in Sterling Silver

Garden quartz is one of those stones you can get completely lost in, and the clarity of this one makes it especially good for that. The quartz is beautifully clean, giving you an unusually clear view of the mineral inclusions suspended at different depths inside. There’s a whole miniature landscape in there, and when the stone moves through the light, some of those inclusions catch and sparkle. It’s subtle, but incredibly pretty when you see it happen.

The high dome gives the stone an almost gazing-ball quality. You can look down into it rather than simply across its surface, and the magnifying effect of the clear quartz makes all those internal details feel even deeper. This is a substantial necklace and definitely a statement piece, but the neutral palette makes it surprisingly easy to wear. It would be beautiful against black or other dark colors where the clear quartz and silver can really stand out, but just as good with a simple white shirt, linen or a soft sweater. And it’s absolutely a stone people are going to want to look at up close.

Garden quartz, also known as lodolite or inclusion quartz, forms when other minerals become enclosed within quartz as the crystal grows. Those inclusions are what create the remarkable scenes inside, with every stone developing its own completely individual interior. Metaphysically, garden quartz is associated with grounding, growth and reflection, which feels particularly fitting for a stone that practically invites you to sit and stare into it.
