There’s something special about a hand-knotted strand that you just don’t get from beads strung on wire. The silk allows each stone to move freely, giving the necklace a soft, fluid drape and a wonderful feel in the hand. I love wearing these strands layered together, mixing colors, shapes, and lengths, but they have enough presence to wear beautifully on their own. Each necklace is individually knotted on silk chosen to complement the stones.
This prasiolite is such a subtle color that you almost have to look twice to catch it. The stones are beautifully clear with the palest wash of green, and all those tiny facets give the strand an incredible amount of sparkle. In some light they look nearly colorless, and then that cool green tint suddenly comes through. I especially love the contrast of the delicate color with the bright faceting. It gives the necklace a crisp, fresh look without needing a strong hit of color to make it interesting.
Prasiolite is often associated with clarity, renewal, and emotional balance. It is said to encourage compassion and a greater sense of connection to yourself and the world around you.
