There is something almost sensuous about a hand knotted strand of beads, especially when they are gemstone or high quality beads. It drapes beautifully and the flexibility it has makes them a tactile delight. They are so satisfying to play within your hand and they have a comfortable weight where they just feel so right. I fully admit to being obsessed with the ones I have made for myself and they are the reason I have created this layered collection. Worn paired with a complimentary necklace or two makes for a really great look. It takes an otherwise boring outfit to a whole other level. Even worn alone it adds a final polish to your outfit. This necklace is hand knotted on silk thread in a complimentary color to the beads.

♦Stone: This necklace features multi color sapphires in a faceted roundel shape. These have some extra sparkle from a treatment called irradiation, they are not radioactive though. This treatment give them a very reflective silvery sheen making these stones a lot more flashy. Something about the way they are colored also reminds me of the beach somehow. Like sand and seashells they practically shout summertime to me. There are a lot of colors in this strand, all of them are softly colored though, not pale in color just not bright and loud. It makes for a perfect "matches any outfit" kind of necklace. I have one I wear all the time and I still haven't found an outfit it doesn't work with. Beads are 4mm
