Orbicular Jasper Earrings in Sterling Silver

These Orbicular Jasper stones have the most incredible pattern. Warm coral and salmon-colored orbs spread across a rich brown matrix, creating an intricate, almost cellular pattern that looks different every time you look at it. Scattered among the orbs are natural druzy pockets that catch the light with tiny flashes of crystal, adding another layer of texture to an already unusual pair of stones.

The long, slender shape really showcases the pattern and gives these earrings a bold, graphic presence without a lot of extra embellishment. I kept the silverwork simple, with a pair of silver spheres flanking each stone near the top. A complementary pattern has been applied to the silver on the back, echoing the rounded orbicular markings in the jasper and carrying the character of the stones onto the reverse.

It's the combination of color, pattern and those unexpected crystalline pockets that makes this material so special. The warm brown grounds all that beautiful coral color, while the druzy adds little flashes of sparkle among the wonderfully strange natural patterning.

Orbicular Jasper is traditionally associated with grounding, emotional balance and a sense of calm. It is also often associated with joy and appreciating the present moment.
