Orbicular Jasper and Mandarin Citrine Pendant Necklace in Sterling Silver
This is the kind of orbicular jasper that made me fall in love with these stones in the first place. The orbs are incredibly well formed, with rings inside rings scattered through the stone, interrupted by lacy areas of pale jasper and even a few tiny druzy pockets. There is so much going on in this one that your eye keeps finding something new, and the mustard-gold coloring of those orbs is especially good.
The mandarin citrine at the bottom was an easy pairing. Its warm golden color picks up the yellow and ochre in the jasper beautifully, and the faceted stone catches the light as it moves. This is a substantial pendant, the kind that can make an otherwise simple outfit feel finished, and one I think you'll find yourself looking down at just to admire the stone.
Even the reverse side has been given some attention. The sterling silver back is patterned with its own field of circles, echoing the orbicular pattern hidden inside the jasper. You may be the person who sees that detail most often, but that's part of what makes a one-of-a-kind piece feel special from every side.
Orbicular jasper is traditionally associated with grounding, stability and connection, while citrine is associated with confidence, creativity and optimism.
