Petrified Opalized Wood Earrings with Reticulated Silver and Granulation

These striking earrings are the result of hours of meticulous handwork and intention. The design began with rich teal petrified opalized wood, each stone uniquely patterned with deep veining and warm, earthy undertones. I paired them with dramatic silverwork crafted from reticulation silver, which I melted down into ingots, rolled out, and carefully reticulated to create organic, timeworn textures. The sculptural frames were then built around that textured silver and adorned with granulation and polished silver bubble details for extra dimensionality and movement.

The result is a one-of-a-kind pair of earrings that fuse bold geometry with ancient materiality, heirloom art jewelry that makes a statement from every angle.

They’re designed as a clear left/right pair so they face forward when worn, enhancing their visual presence and balance.

Petrified opalized wood is said to hold grounding and transformative energy, offering a connection to the earth and ancient knowledge, wrapped in a stone that’s millions of years old.
