This is a front closing puzzle clasp pendant necklace. The top of the pendant is also the clasp on this necklace. It is a layered piece and the top layer is comprised of reticulation silver which is heavily textured silver that is full of hills and valleys like a topographical map. I have granulated all around the edges of the piece along with all around the stone. Both techniques, reticulation and granulation are advanced high level skills that you will not see done often. The kinetic element of the clasp is also unusual and takes a fair amount of puzzling out to get right. No one will have a necklace like this if you make it yours!

 In the center is a rose cut rose quartz with soft pink color. The shape is taken from one of the druzy pockets in the main stone which is a piece of petrified wood. If you look I am sure you will pick out the one I used for the shape. It is full of open pockets that are lined with druzy crystals, something that naturally occurs in the presence of freshwater and a million or so years. This was once a tree in a forest in Indonesia, millions and millions of years ago, how cool is that?

Flipped over I have patterned the back of this piece in a complimentary pattern to the petrified wood and then hand stippled the edges to mimic the druzy pockets in the stone. I have thought through the design fully so it all flows. Please look at the videos on how to open and close this piece. It's really very simple and easy to do. You just have to remember when you insert the arm that pivots that you insert it with the side with the granules or little silver balls facing out like you see in the photo.

 ♦Chain: This will come on a diamond link chain like you see in the photo in a length of your choosing. The chain won't be adjustable so be sure to think what works for you. This necklace looks best worn in high, like right below the collar bones like you see in the video. For me that's 18 inches. If you are petite you may want to go with 16 inches. If you think you'll need it a touch lower 20 or 22 inches is good. Please choose in the dropdown the length you want.
