Garnet Hand-Knotted Strand Necklace in Sterling Silver

There’s an undeniably sensuous allure to a hand-knotted strand of gemstones. Each bead moves with a liquid grace, the silk thread giving the necklace a supple drape against the skin. I adore layering these strands, playing with different stones, colors, and lengths, but they’re just as beautiful worn alone. Each one is knotted on silk thread chosen to complement the stones.

This strand is made with beautifully rich garnet, the kind of deep wine-red that can look almost dark until the light moves through it and brings out flashes of glowing crimson. The faceted rondelles catch the light from every angle, giving the stones plenty of sparkle while showing off that gorgeous depth of color. Garnet has been treasured in jewelry for thousands of years, and it's easy to see why. There’s something wonderfully lush about this deep red, especially in a full strand like this.
