Labradorite Hand-Knotted Strand Necklace in Sterling Silver
There’s an undeniably sensuous allure to a hand-knotted strand of gemstones. Each bead moves with a liquid grace, the silk thread giving the necklace a supple drape against the skin. In the hand, they’re a joy to roll between your fingers, smooth and rhythmic with just the right weight. It’s a tactile pleasure, flexible and deeply satisfying. I adore layering these strands, playing with different stones, colors, and lengths, but they’re just as beautiful worn alone. Each one is knotted on silk thread chosen to complement the stones.
This strand of labradorite has a soft, misty gray color with flashes of blue, aqua, green, and occasional gold appearing as the stones move through the light. The small faceted rondelles add plenty of sparkle, while the natural inclusions and variations give the strand a slightly moody, ethereal quality. Labradorite is one of those stones that can look beautifully understated one moment and suddenly light up with color the next.
Labradorite has long been associated with intuition, transformation, and protection. It is believed to strengthen awareness and encourage trust in your own instincts, while its shifting flashes of color have given it a longstanding connection with mystery and magic.
