Aquamarine Hand-Knotted Necklace in Sterling Silver

There’s an undeniably sensuous allure to a hand-knotted strand of gemstones. Each bead moves with a liquid grace, the silk thread giving the necklace a supple drape against the skin. In the hand, they’re a joy to roll between your fingers, smooth and rhythmic with just the right weight. It’s a tactile pleasure, flexible and deeply satisfying. I adore layering these strands, playing with different stones, colors, and lengths, but they’re just as beautiful worn alone. Each one is knotted on silk thread chosen to complement the stones.

This is an especially beautiful strand of aquamarine, with faceted rondelles that graduate in both size and color. The stones range from nearly clear icy blue to soft aqua and deeper ocean blue, with gorgeous clarity and sparkle throughout. I love the way the color changes as you move around the strand, and the faceting really shows off how clean and luminous these stones are. These are very nice quality aquamarines, and you can see it.

Aquamarine has long been associated with serenity, courage, and clear communication. It is believed to have a calming energy that encourages clarity, balance, and an easier flow of thoughts and emotions.
