Super Seven Pendant Necklace in Sterling Silver

Super Seven gets wonderfully strange when you find a piece like this. Fine red inclusions run in dense, almost parallel lines through clear quartz, creating a pattern that looks less like a typical gemstone and more like something drawn inside it. The transparency lets you see straight into those layers, with smoky shadows and darker mineral inclusions appearing around the edges as the light changes. It’s the kind of stone you keep looking at because there’s always something else going on inside.

Super Seven, sometimes called Melody Stone, is a naturally occurring included quartz associated with material from Brazil. Its reputation comes from the unusual mixture of minerals that can occur within the quartz, creating specimens filled with needles, wisps, veils and flashes of color. No two pieces arrange themselves quite the same way, and this one is especially graphic. Set horizontally, all of those red lines stretch across the pendant like a tiny abstract landscape, with the darkened silver and cluster of silver droplets underneath giving it a slightly wilder edge.

There’s plenty of lore surrounding Super Seven, too. In metaphysical traditions it has become known as a stone of heightened intuition, spiritual exploration and transformation, with the different minerals within it thought to work together rather than as separate energies. That unusual combination has given Super Seven an almost cult following among people who are drawn to stones with a little mystery attached to them.
