Super Seven Ring with Fused 14k Rose Gold in Sterling Silver

This ring started as an experiment with fusing 14k rose gold directly into sterling silver, and the result was too good not to keep exploring. Small pieces of rose gold are fused across the heavily textured band, becoming part of the surface rather than sitting neatly on top of it. Against the oxidized silver they look almost ancient, scattered flashes of warm metal breaking through the darker, weathered texture. Because the gold melts and moves during the process, the pattern can never really be repeated.

The Super Seven at the center has that same layered, slightly mysterious quality. Deep reddish inclusions and fine threads move through translucent quartz with muted lavender tones and flashes of silvery sheen when the stone catches the light. There is a lot happening beneath the surface, but the colors stay soft and earthy enough to work beautifully against the rose gold and oxidized silver.

Super Seven, sometimes called Melody Stone or Sacred Seven, is a trade name used for naturally included quartz material associated with amethyst, smoky and clear quartz along with a variety of mineral inclusions. Metaphysically, it is traditionally associated with intuition, spiritual growth, grounding and transformation.
