White Keshi Pearl Hand-Knotted Strand Necklace in Sterling Silver
There’s an undeniably sensuous allure to a hand-knotted strand of gemstones. Each bead moves with a liquid grace, the silk thread giving the necklace a supple drape against the skin. In the hand, they’re a joy to roll between your fingers, smooth and rhythmic with just the right weight. It’s a tactile pleasure, flexible and deeply satisfying. I adore layering these strands, playing with different stones, colors, and lengths, but they’re just as beautiful worn alone. Each one is knotted on silk thread chosen to complement the stones.
These white keshi pearls are absolutely gorgeous. The luster is exceptional, with brilliant reflections of light and flashes of soft pink, silver, and even hints of blue and green moving across their surfaces. What I especially love about keshi pearls is their wonderfully irregular, freeform shapes. Every pearl is different, with folds, curves and ripples that give the light so many interesting surfaces to play across. The result is a strand with incredible texture and character, full of that rich, luminous beauty that makes pearls so irresistible. They have all the elegance of a classic white pearl necklace, but with a much more organic, unexpected look.
Keshi pearls are prized for their unusual shapes and beautiful luster. Unlike conventional cultured pearls formed around a bead nucleus, keshi pearls are composed entirely of nacre, which contributes to their remarkable iridescence. In traditional lore, pearls have long been associated with wisdom, love, prosperity and good fortune, and have been treasured as symbols of affection and devotion.
