This Ethiopian black opal has a gorgeous mosaic of fiery color, with flashes of vivid green, red, and orange scattered throughout its dark, smoky body. The colors have an almost stained-glass quality, appearing in little patches that brighten and shift as the stone moves. Its smooth, polished cabochon has a rich depth that makes the play of color especially captivating, with surprising bursts of brightness emerging from the darkness.
